Lattimer Homes is targeting triple success in this year’s Pride in the Job awards, which recognise Britain’s best site managers.

The company has previously only ever nominated one candidate – nine-times national Pride in the Job champion George Lattimer – for the annual awards run by the National House Building Council.

However, the increasing number of top quality sites currently being developed by Lattimer Homes across north and west Cumbria, combined with the broader standard of excellence of our staff, means we will be putting forward three nominees for the 2014 awards.

The first of the newcomers is Craig Wilson, who is site manager at Upton, Caldbeck, where we are building three beautiful dormer bungalows in a prestigious development. Craig, 29, is a bricklayer by trade and has worked for Lattimer Homes for more than 10 years. He is assisted at Caldbeck by site foreman Jeff Wilson, who is his father and a Lattimer Homes director. Craig’s mum Karen is also a director of the company.

Also being nominated is Shaun Forrester, who is site manager of our Greensyke development, for work on the historic farm set in 12 acres at Cumdivock, Dalston. Shaun is also a family member, who has worked for the company for 19 years as a joiner. The Greensyke site is being put forward in the single plot category for the Pride in the Job awards. The site foreman there is Mike Graham.

Craig and Shaun will be joined by George, who is site manager at James Duffield Close in Workington, where we are creating 18 homes on the site of the former Newlands House Hotel. George is assisted by site foreman Barry Pattinson.

George, won a record ninth National Pride in the Job award in London in January. His 2013 success was in recognition of his work as site manager at James Duffield Close, Workington, in the category for building fewer than 50 homes a year. Craig’s entry for his work at the Caldbeck site will be in the same category
