Michael Mcintyre Hands Award To George
Lattimer Homes’ latest national award was handed over by top comedian Michael McIntyre.
The TV funnyman presented director George Lattimer with an accolade from the National House-Building Council at a black tie dinner which he hosted in London.
George had been invited to the event at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel as a north west regional winner in the NHBC’s Pride in the Job annual awards.
George, who has been a national Pride In The Job winner a record eight times, said: “It was a fantastic evening and an absolute pleasure to meet Michael McIntyre. He was out of this world.
“Once again, the standard of national finalists was unbelievably high. I was just happy to have won the regional award in Manchester last year to get there.”
George has won more than 50 Pride In The Job top 100, regional or national awards. His latest in the new Single Plot category was for the quality of work at Fairview, a luxury four-bedroom split-level detached family house at Oulton near Wigton.
As Cumbria’s only representative at the awards dinner, George was especially proud to receive recognition as runner-up in the Supreme Award for Britain’s best site manager.
The annual national Pride In The Job awards are recognised as being among the house-building industry’s most sought-after accolades. Around 13,000 people from across Britain had entered the hotly-contested awards for 2012’s Supreme Winners.
